From the lecture halls of Kenyatta University to the continental stage, Dr. Malo’s appointment underscores KU’s commitment to producing global leaders in food security and environmental management.

Kenyatta University is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of one of its most distinguished alumni, Dr. Meshack Malo, following his appointment as the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Deputy Regional Representative for Africa.

Based at the FAO continental office in Accra, Ghana, Dr. Malo will serve as the deputy to Dr. Abebe Haile Gabriel, the Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative. This high-profile appointment places a KU-trained expert at the heart of Africa’s agricultural transformation.
