Justification/Rationale:
The programme seeks to provide practical and professional expertise needed for the learning of appropriate scientific principles and practices of agriculture. Therefore, in order to tap into this vast resource, this programme seeks to develop professionals with requisite capacity and practical skills of transforming drylands into national, county and household food baskets for enhanced human well-being. It will also help in addressing the Kenyan Government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
